On this trip to Phuket, we searched for a 2-night stay from agoda and found Ao Chalong Villa and Spa. I visited Phuket a few times in the past but never considered any hotel in Chalong bay before. I thought that a pier was not the kind of scene I’d enjoy. Well, it turned out wrong. When we arrived at this place, we fell in love with it instantly. It ‘s just a small, cozy place on the seashore, with all the necessary amenities, swimming pools, breakfast, and the services superb. You can never find a private stay like this on well-known beaches like Patong, Karon, or Kata (unless you could afford the price of 5-star hotels like Kata Thani, of course).
If there’s something that needs improvement about this place, that must be the small road to the hotel that’s quite rough and bumpy. Other than that, we give it a 2 thumb up.

The room is clean, air-conditioned, with Doi-suthep view outside the window. The off-season rate could be as low as around 800 baht/night including breakfast. Hotel facilities are above average for such room rate. They have swimming pool, sauna, restaurants etc.
I searched a one-night stay from agoda and found Grand Pacific Severeign Resort & Spa . With attractive discount and positive hotel reviews, I finally booked a sea-view room. Good choice, indeed. We loved the place instantly after arrival. Everything was beautifully decorated, the room, pool areas, garden. There were so few hotel guests at this period, perhaps because of the recent flood.
