Phuket is certainly one of the most favorite tourist attractions in Thailand. This southern province bears the name “pearl of Andaman.” So we chose it as the destination for our 2-day valentine trip. The best period to visit Phuket is during Dec – April, since the rainy season starts around May each year.
To cover a distance of more than 500 miles from BKK in such a short trip, air travel is the only option. We got a good promotion price from Nokair by booking 3 months in advance. The damage from recent flood caused Don Muang airport to remain closed for maintenance, so we had to board the plane at Suvarnabhumi airport. If you start your journey from downtown BKK, I recommend taking the airport rail link. It takes only less than 30 minutes from Prayathai station to Suvarnabhumi.
